Review of Bullitt (1968) by Erik G — 12 Nov 2010
Outstanding Film. McQueen at his peak! Very innovative camera work for the period. It set the tone for gritty cop dramas and ultra-realism with a Film-Noir sensibility. Unfortunate that Jacqueline Bisset had so little to do, but she and McQueen had great chemistry. Oh yea...the car chase..Awesome and LOUD!
And like Robert Vaughn said at a special screening I caught, "It's not really about much, but it's a hell of a ride.".
