Review of Bullitt (1968) by John K — 27 Nov 2018
One of the better movies, simply in terms of craftsmanship. The casting is spot on, the cinematography great, the performances great, the editing great and the role of Bullit perfectly played by McQueen.
Okay, so the character Bullit is a little too cool to be believed, much as Clint Eastwood was in his Dirty Harry roles. Both of them tapped into a need of the public to see a strong law-and-order fiture, although McQueen then went on to make The Thomas Crowne Affair taking coolness to a ridiculous laughable extreme.
Be all that as it may, Bullit is still good entertainment.
