McQueen is a bad ass. He fit the role to a "T". I loved this movie becuase the chase scene was ridiculously awesome and the dynamic of vaugn opposite mcqueen was perfect. The true epitome of 70's gritty mercenary cop on par with the dirty harry.
This is why people drive mustangs.
