I don't know why I had to borrow it from the library. I am not a fan of Woody Allen films. I found his movies boring.

I didn't read the DVD cover and labels so I didn't knew that it was a Woody Allen film. I only read the title and I was amazed by the concept, you know, a mob investing in a Broadway play, it struck me, like it was a good concept.

After I watched it, I seemed to have wasted my time, I should have slept instead. I had a choice to turn off my DVD player, but I didn't know what kept me from preventing to turn it off. Maybe because I was intrigued on what will happen next, will David Shayne admit to the world that it was Cheech who wrote the improvement of the play? I was disappointed that Cheech was killed off at the end, but I was relieved that David Shayne admitted to himself that he was not a writer.

I didn't find it funny, for me, there was no comedy in it. It was more of a drama. I don't know why it was marketed as comedy, but it was just my opinion. Maybe my thoughts are closed because it was a Woody Allen film and I'n not a fan.

Overall, I scored it 60% for its unique concept. The cast were all okay, they've done their part intelligently and professionally. It provided a window on what was happening during rehearsals of most Broadway or West End plays.

I think, Bullets Over Broadway was not a typical Woody Allen movie. He should have make movies like this where he's not one of the main casts. No offense to all Woody Allen followers.
