This movie is simple trashy B movie fun. With a touch of nostalgia, its a buddy cop action thriller with a bit of everything. There's action, a little bit of actor chemistry, some good dialogue, and a great villain with Jason Momoa.
Sometimes the movie feels a lazy in its plotting, since the Asian cop character just calls a person to tell him where to go next, but its an undemanding action movie with a nice finale. Its not anything noteworthy, but its solid entertainment.
