I can see what they were trying to do with Bullet To The Head, a modern day 80s action flick in a film noir style, complete with voiceovers from Stallone's character. The violence is low key and visualy the film looks more like an episode of The Wire than.

blockbuster movie. It's a good concept, but sadly poorly executed. The dialogue isnt snappy enough, the charachters are one dimensional, and the plot is predictable, with the same plot devices being used repeatedly throughout the film.

It's too modern to qualify as a nostalgia movie like The Expendables, and too dated to be taken seriously as a modern action film. Bullet To The Head aims high, but sadly hits wide of the mark.
