Review of Bull Durham (1988) by Matthias M — 06 Feb 2008
Best baseball movie by far...and if anyone brings up little big league...he/she is a fucking idiot. sorry for harsh words. sarandon shows off her younger, more sexually appealing side as the "knowitall", intellectually stunning clubhouse groupie, as costner and robbins deliver top notch performances as the veteran and rookie that inspire generations of real ball players to respect and play the game with love and sincerity.
costner also hits a homerun (pun intended) with one of the best monologues since shakespeare.
