Very very funny. This is a great ensemble comedy about the "church of baseball." Susan Sarandon is outstanding as a cougar on the prowl for the MVP of a minor league baseball team. Kevin Costner is the washed up but wise minor league veteran.
Tim Robbins is the cocky, flashy rookie with a chance at making it to the "show." Combine that altogether with a terrific script, and you get a classic comedy ala The Philadelphia Story and a great sports movie all in one.
Although, this is much more fun and sexy than those old comedies. This is 20 years old now, and it's a modern day classic. Go see it, a great movie for the summer, and a winner for any baseball fan.
