Review of Bull Durham (1988) by Cameron J — 20 May 2011
Right off the bat, I didn't like Susan Sarandon and her sick lies. "Baseball is never boring." That's a bunch of Bull Durham. Seriously though, a moderate lack of investment in some of the characters, some poor dialogue and occasional inconsistancies are some of the deal of problems.
All of that aside, "Bull Durham" is offbeat, humorous, well-paced and in the end, a genuinely entertaining sports comedy classic.
