Review of Bugsy (1991) by Kathleen D — 11 Aug 2007
Fair ganster film, though not on a par with other similar movies. Nice performances from Beatty and Bening, while Kingsley was particularly good as Meyer Lansky. This is quite an old-fashioned biopic, and at times it seemed that Ennio Morricone was reusing his score from Once Upon a Time in America.
A well made, entertaining period piece, nothing more.
