Review of Bugsy (1991) by Walker W — 19 Feb 2009
MY CONSENSUS: Featuring a talented cast that display a plethora of great performances, this mob movie still falls woefully short of the classics such as THE GODFATHER, GOODFELLAS, or even milder ones such as THE GODFATHER III or SCARFACE.
Despite this, Beatty and Bening are absolutely electrifying onscreen, cradling the film and turning it into an entertaining piece with their love/hate relationship. The supporting cast of great actors fill their respective roles well and though the script is a bit pale, the whole cast and crew work with what they've got.
MY GRADE: B.
