Review of Bugsy (1991) by Thomas B — 19 Aug 2013
There's enough good stuff for me to say that I liked it, (Annette Bening is fantastic) even though the film has a weird narrative. I like that the story begins well after Siegel is an established gangster, but I don't think Levison or Toback know exactly what they are trying to say about him (there seems to be some attempt to connect Siegal's madness to the American dream, but I don't think it goes anywhere).
