Review of Bug (2002) by Gerry C — 12 Jan 2009
The downward spiral that is director William Friedkin's career passes another circle with this psychological movie about two people with paranoia. Ashley Judd does what she can to keep this movie together, but it doesn't work.
Too much of Michael Shannon acting crazy. I know he's supposed to be crazy, but some people can play crazy very good, other's don't. Harry Connick Jr. pops up as an abusive husband and poorly acts.
This may have worked as a play, but as a movie, I found myself wondering why this movie didn't have better actors.
