Review of Bug (2002) by Paul F — 28 Oct 2008
William Friedkin once more chooses a rather 'unusual' topic for a film.... but how well it works! Based on a stage show, with one of the original cast Michael Shannon (Peter) and boy has he nailed the character down!
The set is claustrophobic, the lead characters paranoia develops from a feature of Peter's character right through to the demise of his befriended love. A chilling vision that the viewer will either love or hate due to not understanding the powerful undertones of this fantastic film.
