Review of Bug (2002) by Brent C — 24 Feb 2012

This one has a great first half. We have a slow buildup of suspense as we get to know the main characters with some very good performances by Judd, Shannon, and Connick Jr. You just feel when things start to unravel we will be in for quite a ride because we do get invested in these characters.

Ultimately, this great first half leads to a very disappointing last half in which all the careful buildup of suspense is lost in a muddle of psychological paronoia and whatever wer had invested in these characters gets lost.

What could have been a great little thriller is wasted and ends unsatisfyingly.
