Review of Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1992) by Raquel C — 01 Mar 2009
You have to be in the right, "I don't want to think as I watch a movie" mood to enjoy this movie. If you're a fan of the TV series, you'll probably be really confused, since they kinda frakked up Joss's original screenplay [read "The Origin" comic if you want to know how he'd intended it to go].
If you've never seen the TV series and start by watching this, you probably will be really confused once you start. The acting's not terribly good, but it's not terribly awful, either. About the best thing I can say about it is that, for some unknown reason, WB decided on the strength of this movie to risk giving Joss a TV deal.
