Review of Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1992) by Adrian Z — 06 Oct 2011
2 - Seemingly intended as a satire on the vacuous teen society of the 90s, but with a novel (at the time) vampire twist, Unfortunately, Buffy The Vampire Slayer only ever manages to be, at best, very occasionally amusing.
The thin premise sees Buffy (Swanson, giving it her best) as the one chosen to battle vampires, who are led by an ineffective, and frankly unfunny, Rutger Hauer. Paul Reuben's aids the evil one, but is terribly hit-and-miss.
