Review of Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1992) by Jon C — 26 Nov 2012
Joss Whedon, the same creator of the hit TV series decided to pen the script for the live-action movie.
Almost all of the elements are the same and remain true to what Buffy stands for.
You have a badass heroine, some evil vampires, some cool effects and many instances of cheese and campyness.
Oh do they lay thick on the campyness of it all.
The film plays more like a subtle comedy than an actual horror flick but that still gives it an energy to appreciate.
Kristy Swanson is awesome in the lead role, her character is tough, smart and pretty dependable.
This isn't meant to be taken so seriously so just have some fun with it.
