I absolutely love this film! I have this thing about military films that aren't about war, but rather what happens around it or in its absence...really interesting!
The only thing I could criticise about this film is the way in which it glorifies hard drug use and makes it look cool (which is the way it might well have been considered in the late80/early90s in Germany). I just worry that this kind of film makes todays youth think it's cool, when it so very isn't.
But even that isn't enough to make an impact on my love of this film...AWESOME!!! as is Joaquim Phoenix...as always :).
