Review of Buffalo '66 (1998) by Tristan G — 05 Nov 2007
Very enjoyable art film. I thought the main characters were interesting and likable in much more realistic sorts of ways. I thought the film had a few unnecessary moments, but those only add to the charm.
I thought the technique at the end with the duel-ending was especially interesting. The extreme graphic violence that explodes at the end definitely caught me off guard, but not enough to take me out of it.
I just liked how natural it all felt. Definitely check this one out if you want something sad, but funny.
