Review of Buffalo '66 (1998) by Bryan G — 15 Nov 2008
Looking at the synopsis, you'd think Buffalo '66 would be dark. And you would be right. Somehow though, Gallo manages to make this kidnapping story oddly funny and moving. During the course of the film, you see the many sides of Billy Brown.
He's a hardened criminal seeking revenge, but really he's just starved for a love his parents did not provide for him. It's really a brilliant piece of filmmaking. One of my favorites.
