Review of Buffalo '66 (1998) by James J — 25 Dec 2010
I wasn't quite sure what I was getting into when I put this in the DVD player. Then I was taken aback by the refreshingly gritty visual style and unique cinematography. Christina Ricci is okay, but Vincent Gallo and the rest of the cast are superb.
This is written well with weird, subtle undertones that touch on the absurd to the profound. Once the relationship between the couple solidifies, there's no turning back, and it's hard to resist liking this.
