Review of Buffalo '66 (1998) by David Q — 20 Oct 2007
Wasn't sure what to expect from this especially after all the terrible publicity Vincent Gallo got with "The Brown Bunny". what I got was a very funny, at times unbearably uncomfortable dark dramedy, that serves as an honest and original directorial debut.
although the style draws a bit too much attention to itself, this is one of the better indie films from a first-time director, made in the 90's. so good in fact, that it almost makes me want to see "The Brown Bunny".
almost being the key word there.
