Review of Buffalo '66 (1998) by Rink S — 27 Jun 2009
I finally managed to watch this movie after my sister and also someone over flixster did tell me it would be good. Well I must say I was positively surprised about Ricci and also a bit about Gallo. The movie was quite tasteful and tried to be a bit experimental from time to time (like the scene where the family eats and camera does switch from view of the participants - although I hated how the things on the table were inconsistent from the different angles).
But well in the end it is a very simple film with simple lines for the characters, a simple storyline and a very simple ending. For me it would be logical to make a short film out of this idea, for a full feature movie it just was not enough substance for me, not enough change, not enough character.
