Review of Buena Vista Social Club (1999) by Yves T — 14 Dec 2007
IIt's one of the rare movies where you see it and you get lifted just by listenning to the music or by the images. Despite it's authority, Cuba remains of the country so rich by its music, its vibes. By showing these legendary singers from the Havana, the movie just show it very clearly.
A great moment in the end where we stay on Ibrahim Ferrer after he sings. Just the idea tha he finally gain the celebrity or should I say these seconds of celebrity is such a great. Not to mention the cuban flag which is being given to the crew. So 5 stras for this amazing documentary that I think a lot aficianods of cuban music or music in general could relate to!!!
