Further validation of my Cuba obsession :) These 80-90 yr. old musicians are extraordinarily talented and vivacious to the core. Sadly, the film director chooses to focus on the rather uninspiring Buena Vista Social Club producer Ry Cooder, who smiles like a self-satisfied benefactor in the background of every grandiose camera sweep.
No matter- I loved watching this film simply to see a model of how to be an irrepressible 90 yr. old! :).
