Review of Budrus (2010) by Frank K — 08 Oct 2010
The displacement of the Palestinians from their home land has been ongoing process since 1947. In 1986 & again in 2000, the Palestinians attempted to assert their rights via mass rebellion or "intifada".
They met with little success. However, via a series of 55(!) daily protests against the proposed route of the "separation fence" aka the apartheid wall, the people of the village of Budrus a small palestinian village on the West Bank won a real victory.
This movie must be seen by anyone with an interest in the Middle East and/or non violent protest. Julia Bacha proves herself to be an exceptionally talented director.
