With the success of "A&C Meet Frankenstein" Universal decided to cash in and threw this little murder/mystery/thriller together, putting Boris Karloff's name in the title to make audiences think it was going to be like "Frankenstein".
Unfortunately they forgot to add the jokes. The pace is really uneven too and we see a lot of dead bodies with eyes wide open and staring, a little unusual for a comedy. Because of the wide eyed corpses this film was banned in Denmark!
