Review of Bud Abbott and Lou Costello Meet Frankenstein (1948) by Adam E — 11 May 2009
Classic comedy and classic horror. Together in one terrific picture (and they don't even step on each other's toes!). Bud and Lou are absolutely hilarious dealing out their classic wordplay and the monsters are treated with respect.
It's great to see Chaney Jr. and Glen Strange one last time and of course, Lugosi in his second and final screen turn as Dracula. The climax is a highlight and makes a fitting coda for Universal's classic horror cycle.
