Review of Bud Abbott and Lou Costello Meet Frankenstein (1948) by Gary H — 26 Jun 2011
This film revived Abbott & Costello's film career. What makes this work is Dracula,Frankenstein & Wolfman play it straight. No double-takes or jokes from them. Vincent Price provided the voice of the Invisible Man in the final gag.
The studio at first didn't want to hire Bela Lugosi to play Dracula (he was too old). This will be the last time Bela played the part of Dracula. "When the moon comes out I turn into a wolf" "You and every other man".
