Horror comedies are notoriously difficult to do well. This one is perhaps one of the best of a very small bunch (Young Frankenstein, Carry On Screaming, What a Carve Up). Th emonsters are treated with respect and the film has both scary and very funny moments.
Quite a delighful movie.
