You could argue that this was the best early attempt to mix horror and comedy that worked! Admittedly its a little silly for my liking, Lucille Ball always done physical comedy the best, but it was still a decentt movie for the best part.
.. However I have never really approved of comedy horrors, to me it's always defeated the purpose of a horror.
