Review of Bucky Larson: Born to Be a Star (2011) by Lilianetty L — 08 Mar 2012
I just could not believe what the hell I was watching, but then I remember I'm an open mind person and I should need to watch every film even if it looks somehow offensive. For me it was not offensive, for me it was a way to show how a man with obstacles in life could get far as his parents did. Obviously, that positive part get's dark when you realize that the job he does is not good and is not a thing actors or actresses should do to get famous. Seriously, is true.
Plot: Is simple, Bucky discovers something about his parents. They were famous persons in the past, something he wants to be. He wants to get on Hollywood, get awards, etc. But he will do it in the wrong profession...the one his parents did. The other story inside this one? Kathy's story, which I think is the most nice one and should be the one people should admire, since is not vulgar, nasty and horrible as Larson's. Spoil much? Nope. You want to know what this stories are about in full speed? Watch the movie, but trully, I won't recommend it at any cost.
Acting: Nick as Bucky....I never imagined him on a role like this one. First of all, those teeths looked SUPER FAKE! (dunnot if I write right or wrong the teeth thing). But honestly, I got surprised. Christina as Kathy did great, really, her role was trully for her. The rest of the cast did somehow great and somehow meh (needed more skills I admit). Anyway, one star for them all.
Music: Some songs were nice for some parts, some were not used properly. Defenetly, the score was ok, the songs were amazing, but they were not great for the scenes. So, one star for the effort made in this part, crew, cast and director.
To end this review, 2 stars of 5. Enjoy and HASTA LA PROXIMA AMIGOS/AS! CHAO! BLESS YOU ALL!!!
