Review of Bubba Ho-tep (2002) by Jax B — 03 Aug 2009
Whilst on it's surface a B-movie with a few odd-ball quirks, Bubba Ho-Tep was surprisingly hilarious and touching. As well as the main horror based storyline (angry soul sucker prowls through retirement home), the plot that really drives the film is Elvis's realisations.
The mexicana accompanied nostalgia and honesty tied in with some well paced tension and dark scene setters really makes this movie special! It has rightfully earned 'cult status'. You won't see another movie like it :).
