Review of Brüno (2009) by Addison O — 06 Jul 2011
No one does what Sacha Baron Cohen does. He deserves all his success and then some. Like Borat, Bruno is 80 minutes of epic trolling that intelligently combines humor with a social message. Cohen seamlessly points out the gaping flaws in American society through his character, and the whole thing is both stupidly hilarious yet smart and satirical.
Bruno is not weak as most sequels are. Cohen keeps it just as fresh and outlandish, if not more so, than before. "Bradolf Pittler and De Fuhrer" were ingenious.
