Review of Brüno (2009) by Soni K — 11 Feb 2013
Sasha Baron Cohen continues to be shockingly offensive. Did anyone really expect anything different? This time instead of targeting America and Khazakstan, Cohen goes after the world's uncomfortability with homosexuals.
He takes it to extreme measures (of course) but the results are hilarious and shocking (of course). It's pretty much more of the same and probably the last time he'll get away with it. After you see it you'll debate what was real and what was staged but as long as it made me laugh I didn't care.
It takes a minute or two to get going but once it does, it doesn't let up. Great to see with a group of people especially if they're open minded or maybe fucked in the head. Depends on whether or not a talking dick hole makes you laugh.
