I've never cared for for Jim Carey's mugging and slapstick and this film was no exception. I do like Carey went he's more restrained, like in "The Truman Show" or "Man in the Moon," but here I just found him unbearable.
The film is only saved by a good supporting cast that includes Jennifer Aniston, Steve Carrell, Phillip Baker Hall, Morgan Freeman, Catherine Bell, Sally Kirkland, Nora Dunn and Tony Bennett as himself.
