Review of Brothers of the Head (2006) by Ross M — 20 Dec 2008
This is a bizarre film, the story of a pair of conjoined twins, who end up fronting a punk band. Set in the late seventies , their more Sex Pistols than Blink 182. But what makes this film more unusual is its made as a documentary, constructed mainly, of what is meant to be footage shot of the twins and their band filmed by a fictional documentary maker, and interviews with members of the band, management, entourage, some twenty years later.
This is primarily a film for punks and filmmakers , whoâ??d probably give it five stars, as the music is awesome, and the editing & cinematography will have film students wetting themselves.
It also has blink and youâ??ll miss them cameos from John Simm, Jane Horricks, Jonathan Price and legendary British director Ken Russel.
