Sadly, I think the lead role required a stronger actor than Tobey Maguire. Jake and Natalie do a fine job, and the child actors give an impressive performance, although by the end they are a bit cloying.
I imagined the movie this could have been while watching it (and enjoyed it), but did not see it on the screen.
