Review of Brothers (2004) by Raphael G — 18 Nov 2010
Danish film about two brothers and the tale of how one goes missing in Afgahanistan and the other tries to comfort his grieving wife and daughters. This was later remade in Hollywood but the Danish version is much more stripped down with hand held shots and minimal set design/costuming clearly visible.
A more real-life look at the horrible situation even though the American version is also quite touching.
