Review of Brothers (2004) by Joanna R — 28 Mar 2009
I enjoyed this a great deal, esp. the final scene which played out in a beautiful visual display of brokenness and new life. The underlying drama is triggered by an unusually extreme act of violence, but otherwise, I appreciated the understated narrative development and performances.
Bier's use of montage is especially good, bringing an emotional immediacy to the drama.
