Whoa, these 18th Century French dudes know Kung-Fu! Amazing this movie works, but it does. It's a postmodern magpie: a samurai adventure with "New School" wuxia Hong Kong action and wire work, a touch of American Western, and sewn into a free interpretation of Gallic history.
