Review of Brotherhood of the Wolf (2001) by Santosh D — 14 May 2008
A French film doesn't necessarily have to be an indie piece of crap, as Le Pacte Des Loups ably proves. Here, there are inventive sword-fights, Monica Bellucci gets naked, the hero has a cool kung-fu sidekick ("A man called Mani"), Monica Bellucci gets naked, there's a terrific Baskervillian monster, and Monica Bellucci gets naked too.
Gorgeous production values, however the pacing was a little off (although I did watch the even longer director's cut), and the lead actor looks like he was pulled off the street... Still, well-worth watching at least once! Did I mention that Monica Bellucci gets naked?
