Review of Brotherhood of the Wolf (2001) by Alana K — 11 Jul 2008
Why this movie got such great reviews is the question of the century as far as I'm concerned. The French "Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon?!" Um...I don't think watching some native Indian do slow motion kung fu brings it within a galaxy's diameter of that masterpiece.
Based on the legend of some blood thirsty creature on the loose in 18th century France, it had the potential to be really good or at least mildly interesting, but it played like a bad made-for-tv movie with laughably crappy special effects.
Really long, really boring, and really not worth much of anything.
