The story and screenplay are pretty guessable but whoohoo.. what an action ride. And what awesome shots.. makes you wanna wonder why hollywood budgets are creeping up to the 1/2 billion $ mark.
Very dark (literally not figuratively), sexy with awesome costumery and cgi, great action and a fantastic mishmash of feudal france and fantasy. For me, ranks only (and just) below Pan's Labyrinthe in this genre.
