French genre-hopping tonal car-crash, wasting the used-to-be so good Vince Cassell. A film that pastiches Jaws in the first five minutes takes a pretty big risk if it can't follow through with some decent thrills.
Ironically Brotherhood of the Wolf fails by ignoring the very rules that Jaws cemented - reveal as little as possible of your monster for as long as possible. Oh yeah, and best to avoid incestual rape in a brash popcorn action movie.
