Review of Brother Bear (2003) by Saban E — 09 Apr 2014
It has a couple of funny scenes - I like the Moose guys, but the story is boring (actually, the outline and set-up for this movie is actually pretty good, but it is executed very poorly), I didn't see much character development*, and it just kind of ends. For the positive, it is a very pretty movie and the songs by Phil Collins are good. Additionally.
Unlike most Disney animated movie, this movie is geared entirely for kids - most Disney movies can be enjoyed by their parents as well as the kids; I haven't seen Home On The Range, but from what I have seen, this is easily the worst Disney animated movie.
*SPOILERS:
Seriously, I guess Kenoia learned his lesson and now he can turn back into a man, or something, but again, I didn't really see him learn much of anything. The closest thing they have to character development is when Kenoia learns he killed Koda's mom, but it's still not that convincing.
Also, the "twist" that Kenoia killed Koda's mom was obvious about an hour before they revealed it.
