Review of Brooklyn's Finest (2010) by Colin H — 01 Feb 2011
I heard some good things about this movie, unfortunately it is full of clichà (C)s and predictabilities.
Following four individual New York police officers, we get every single gritty cop story retold in one movie, for example it is ten minutes in when Richard Gere's close-to-retirement cop drinks himself into putting a gun between his teeth.
It is a film of high anxieties, sad and struggling lifestyles, either involving in gangland violence, family strife or personal demons. The way the plot weaves all of the characters together - predictably - reminds me of the 2004 film "Crash"... which isn't a good thing.
