Review of Brooklyn's Finest (2010) by Ted N — 05 Feb 2011
Three unconnected and highly depressing NYPD cop stories converge on a final scene of devastation and mayhem, from which only Richard Gere walks away (into a freeze-frame). Pointless, overlong, plodding and portentous tosh.
Much better film in a similar vein but with laughs and style - Les Ripoux, 1984, Claude Zidi, with Thierry Lhermitte and Philippe Noiret. Mean streets ahead.
