Review of Brooklyn Rules (2007) by Saryn R — 11 Jun 2007
Brooklyn Rules is a 80s mafia-themed movie narrated by Prinze Jr.'s character. There were good performances all around, except for Mena Suvari who was mostly going through the motions. Prinze, Ferrera, and Caan are all perfect in their Brooklyn characters.
Written well, shot even better. Any Sopranos fan would definitely enjoy it. It's only downfall was its lack of an essential action tying together the whole movie, it was merely a following of a set of characters and their lives, similar to the Sopranos.
All in all, it's still definitely worth seeing.
